Jennifer + Tobin’s Historic Home Engagement

Jennifer + Tobin are such a great couple, so easy to work with and were willing to do whatever I asked them; they were truly after awarding winning engagement photographs!  During the course of the shoot Jennifer mentioned they had been together 15 years.  Is that possible?  Maybe I didn’t catch a hint of intended sarcasm?  Anyway the big wedding day is coming up August… in Maui!

I’m engaged and want to…

Clicking with a Couple

Please excuse the pun, but I cannot think of a better way to describe my relationship with Clarissa and Stephen.  They are amazing; super nice, fun, bright and witty.  I knew from the moment I met them that we would have so much fun together and I was right.  They met in College Station when she was busy graduating from Texas A&M and Stephen was working on campus as an Air Force officer.  Stephen and Clarissa are very thoughtful about their photography, and it was a super important aspect of their wedding.  They had some great ideas about the engagement shoot, and were very open to other ideas and suggestions, so the finished product was a great collaboration of ideas!  We did the shoot at Dunvegan Keep and Zilker Botanical Garden.  Both venues are fantastic, but both have a very different feel.  This is why I’m always happy to to shoot in more than one location.  What matters most to me as a photographer when I shoot engagement pictures is making images that really capture that relationship between the couple.

I am looking forward to shooting their upcoming wedding near Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.  Oh, yes…did I mention it was on a beach?

Liz + Drew’s Austin Engagement

Liz and Drew are a super-interesting couple. They are both PhD psychology students at Missouri right now.  Their wedding will be here in Austin in the spring – another fun destination Austin wedding!   We shot the engagement at Mayfield Park, which is always a favorite of mine!  Not only does it have beautiful grounds which makes photographing there a lot of fun, but you can’t beat the peacocks on the roof!  The wedding and reception will be at Austin’s iconic Stephen F. which should be a blast for both the photographer and the guests!  Look for more from Liz + Drew in the future!

Sarah + Marc Austin Wedding

Austin was a destination wedding for Sarah and Marc.  When I first met Sarah at Starbucks to discuss her wedding photography, she had such definite ideas of how things were suppose to work out on the big day…. and they did!  She and Marc were so laid back there was no way anything could have gone awry at the beautiful Vintage Villas (not even the fender bender with a gasoline soaked 620 mixed in with the fire and the sheriff’s department blocking the way, which incidentally made this photographer a bit anxious!)  Even with all chaos, we started the wedding on time!  Sarah and Marc are now back in Tallahassee, Marc is finishing up his PhD and both are enjoying there new married life.
